Is 2 months normal?

I recently submitted my information for a loan modification to B of A after speaking to 4 different customer service people. The last one thought it was fine to eat her lunch in my ear. Anyway, I gave the hungry young lady my income and expenses over the phone and she said I did not qualify for the modification because my loan is not a Freddie Mac or Fannie Mae, its a FHA. She is putting me in for B of A's loan mod program and I will hear from them in two months for approval. This is my question: what are they approving? I haven't sent any docs thought I'm supposed to be getting a package in the mail. I'm confused.
it's confusing, isn't it...maybe she had lettuce stuck in her teeth and was more concerned with that. i like your "hungry young lady" reference though...made me chuckle.

i'd call them back if i were you. the chances you'll get the same nitwit on the phone next time are pretty slim - maybe you'll even get someone who's had lunch already.

timing of 2 months seems pretty decent for a response, but what you've said they told you seems to indicate you already have a response, but what you said after that seems to indicate that you still have hope.

i'm confused, too - imagine how that poor girl felt - juggling the phone, her lunch (and probably trying to turn the radio down at the same time).

Thanks for the quick reply! Unfortunately there seems to be a string of nitwits working there, but at least they're not all hungry. I called back and the young man I spoke to said that my request information is processing and I should call back once a week to make sure things are moving. If approved, I will receive a package in 60 days. Thanks again.

wow...i love your phraseology: "string of nitwits" "hungry young lady"

are you always that adept in your usage?

Only when it's inappropriate for me to curse :-) I'll let you know how it goes.

well it's always inappropriate to curse, but that doesn't stop virtually all of us.
