My mother has sizable credit card debt with very high interest rates.
After she dies her home becomes her son's as a survivorship deed.
Can the credit card company lien that property and my brother become responsible? THANKS

Hi nogal,
As your mother is alive now, the creditor can place a lien on the property. But after her death when your brother inherits the property, I don't think the creditor will be able to place a lien on the property. However, it would be better if you could contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard.
Thanks
