My husband was sued by a credit card company. Now they sent a garnishment order to his employer and want to take 25% of his weekly salary. Is there anything he can do to avoid this. He tried contacting the attorney but they would not settle the debt for a lower amount. what can he do
Your husband can negotiate with the credit card company and pay them a one time lump sum amount and try to get rid of wage garnishment. However, it will completely depend upon the credit card company whether or not they would agree to a settlement.
