Water seeping into the home

Posted on: 05th Sep, 2013 12:11 am
I have bought a home recently and now water is seeping into the home through a brick wall. Can I sue the previous owner for this?
You may sue the old owner of the property but I don't think that will help you. It would have been better if you would have inspected the house prior to purchasing it.

Hi CVR,

I agree with what Niicss has said. You should have taken the needed steps at the time of home inspection. Moreover, if you had found that the property had problems, it would have been better if you would have avoided buying such a property.

Thanks

If the previous owner knew about the defect and failed to disclose it, you may sue for damages. Contact a local real estate attorney.
