Forbearance from Wells Fargo

i am joining this group because my situation is very similar to some of those listed above. in 2009 i lost my job and in the fall of the same year i started to run behind with my mortgage payment. the following spring wf offered a 6 month forbearance plan and i accepted it. at the time when the forbearance plan ended i paid lower mortgage for about 14 months by then. i called wf for a loan modification plan and i was told those plans are available only in the first 12 months and i am out of time. right now my house is on short sale and i blame wf for this for not giving me the information in time for refinance or hamp or other helpful program. unfortunately, my house is located in georgia , where the rich and powerful people make the law and unemployed and poor have not much to say. i wish, some attorneys would consider a class action against the mortgage servicer dealing with forbearance and not helping the home owners.
Hi Marta,

I can understand what you're going through. It feels extremely sad to lose the dream home on which you've invested so much. You can contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard. Check out if you can file any lawsuit against the lender for not informing you about the rules before.

Hi Marta,

I agree with what Adonis has said. The lender should have informed you about the rules. He shouldn't have kept you in dark. Contacting an attorney in this regard will be the best option.

Thanks
