Are there any type of property abandonment laws that would apply after a person has left a residence and has not contributed financially to the mortgage while the other person on the loan is still living in the home and paying all the mortgage pymts, etc. These people have never been married.
Welcome JH,
If the person who has left the property has his or her name mentioned on the deed, then he or she will have ownership rights to the property. However, if the person's name is not on the property deed, then that person will not have any rights to the property.
