We own our home in missouri free and clear. We want to tranfer the deed into a revocable living trust. Prefer to avoid the use of an attorney. We would welcome advice on the kind of deed to use and any references that would assist "do it yourselfers."
Thanks

Hi
A revocable living trust would be a very good option as it helps you avoid probate which is expensive and time-consuming. Moreover the nature of the trust being a revocable one, you can change it whenever required by you. But I think, you should consult an attorney in this regard to avoid any untoward situation that might arise out of it if you do it on your own. After all, some things are better left to be handled by experts. Moreover the costs you incur are definitely going to be a very wise investment for you in the long run. Thus I strongly recommend a consultation with an attorney because if this is done in a proper manner can yield you rich dividends, but if executed in a wrong way can give you headaches and sleepless nights.
Further queries are always welcome.
