In 2002, my now ex-girlfriend and I purchased a home. My name is on the mortgage, but her name is not. However, both of our names are on the deed. I still live in the house and pay the mortgage. She has since moved out. How can I get her name off of the deed?
you ask her to sign a quit claim deed in your name.
you may need and/or wish to pay her for her share of the equity in the property (i'm sure she'd like that), so it would be beneficial to try to calculate the portion that belongs to her.
