Can my sister sign over complete ownership of home to son if she does not own the home?

after both parents passed on, three of six siblings agreed to sign over ownership of home to one sister. ownership was listed as father's name, % sister's name, et als. we recently found out her son is listed as single owner of the house. our sister signed a quit claim deed. her son approached et als siblings to get them to sign house over but they refused. so how can the house be listed in his name only? did he obtain the house illegally?
this is confusing to you, i'm sure. i'm confused also. how did you learn of this? have you checked the land records? is there a lawyer working on your behalf, on her behalf, on her son's behalf? there might be a need for a meeting (not only of the minds) of the lawyers and family members to delve into this deeper.

what you describe appears not to have been above-board...legal? who knows.

We keep track of the property taxes and noticed a few weeks ago that the house was under her son's name and was listed as the only owner of the property. We also know that he approached a couple of family members about a month ago to get their signatures to sign the house over to him, but they refused.

you're going to need to find out - search the land records - how it took place for his name to be the only one on title. this seems like a fraudulent transfer; you'd better have a lawyer handy.
