My wife of 35 years passed away this year, with no will, we have had two children togather which are grown 30 yrs and 34 yrs. She owns a Mobile home and the property which was her perminent residence. Valued only at $ 15 to 20K. It is in her name only. All have been chaged to my name except the property. The Block home was in both names. I spent most of time at her home. We lived in Florida and my question is how do I chance this into may name?
Hi,

If you want to get the title to the home in your own name, you will have to file an affidavit of heirship with the probate court. The court will decide who should own the property according to the laws of intestacy. However, if your name was already listed on the title to the mobile home, you can submit her certificate of death with the DMV and have the title changed solely in your name.
