What sort of deed to irrevocable trust, and to whom.

Posted on: 17th Sep, 2010 01:49 pm
Hey, I was just curious about what sort of deed is used to transfer property[/color:0d6d65bd13] to an irrevocable trust[/color:0d6d65bd13], and when it is transferred, is the land deeded to the name of the trust or the trustee[/color:0d6d65bd13]? I see a lot of pieces of property owned by the "doe" family trust, etc. Is this what this means?

Thanks for your help.
Hi Chance,

You can use a quit claim deed in order to transfer your property into an irrevocable trust. The land will be deeded in the name of the trust. However, I haven't heard about the "doe" family trust.

Thanks
