We purchased a Condo in Michigan and when we did we only put my wife on the Title now we want to put me on it also. Is the quick claim deed the way to go?
Quit Claim is the way to go if you don't have a mortgage on the property. Otherwise, the proper way to add your name to Title is by refinancing the current note with a new one that's in both your names.
Do you ahve mortgage on the property? Is your wife cosigner?
