my husband and i are in a bitter divorce. the court ordered him to quick claim the deed on our house 1 month ago. can i now quick claim it to my son (21 yr old) so he may sell it to an interested buyer? foreclusure will start any day now.
can i do this in such a short period?
foreclosure is eminent due to husband.
it is all very complex as he now controls a business i started and turned over to him
i understand i will be responsible for my share of the mortgage and therefore will have to declare bankruptcy.
i intend to keep any money from the sale benefiting him and his "paramore" to satisfy his portion of the mortgage.

Welcome gateslaurie,
You can transfer the property to your son once your husband transfers the property to you. However, if your son sells off the property, then he will have to pay off the dues of the mortgage lender with the sale proceeds.
