My grandfather is dying and he and my aunt are listed on his mortgage deed. If he did not want to sell the home to the person that she wants him to, can she block him from selling his own home?
Welcome Shields,
If your grandfather is the sole owner of the property, then your aunt won't be able to block him from selling off the property.

They are both on the deed to the house. He was the one that bought the house, made the payment and she did not put a dime into that house. She was just added to the deed in case he died the house would stay in he family.
Hi Ms. Shields!
Welcome to forums!
Though your aunt did not pay anything, she will be considered as the owner of the property as her name is mentioned on the deed. Your grandfather and aunt both will have to agree to the sale of the property.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
