Deed title

My mother and father took out a VA home loan years ago. He died and she continued to pay it. The house has no mortgage but my mother recently asked for a loan. The loan company said the house needs to be released from the VA office and didnt say how or who is on the title. She now has passed away and now the family is unaware who has the title of the home. In her will she gives it to children but what should we do now.
Do I do a title search and go from there? I dont know if both parents are still on the title.
Hi georgia!

Welcome to forums!

You should go for a title search in order find out who owns the property. You can contact the county recorder's office for the information or go for a title search company for the same.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
