Quite Claim Deed in Florida

Posted on: 01st Dec, 2011 04:53 pm
my spouse bought a home in florida, he added me at the time of the purchase on the property deed, however, i am not on the mortgage or on note. two years later we are divorce and my attorney did not file a quit claim deed, however, indicated that i won't be held laible for the mortgage or any liabilities on the property. i want to file a quit claim deed to remove my name, do i need to file documentary stamp since i'm not on the mortgage and will i be liable if he don't have his taxes current. quitmeclaim
Hello!

To remove your name file or have a lawyer file a Quick Claim Deed with your county. This is a standard procedure in divorices or other matters.
