Quit claim deed

Posted on: 23rd Apr, 2007 11:18 am
hi, back in september my friend and i bought a house. i am the primary on the house but i want my name off and just put into hers. would a quit claim deed be the right thing to do?
Hi Brittany,

You will have to contact your mortgage company about refinancing the mortgage in your friends name when the house is transferred.

If lender has no objection then a quit claim deed can be used to take your name off from house title.
