Last Will And Testament

Posted on: 27th Apr, 2007 08:29 pm
i went to the county clerks office site and printed out where it said rcd 5/26/2005 affidavit of custodian of will, 5/26/2005 last will and testament-recorded, 5/26/2005 death certificate recorded. this is what i came across when i was looking for information in regards to my dad putting my name on a quit claim deed. my question is how can i find out what was in his will? his side of the family cannot stand me. my dad left my mom and i when i was a little girl but we did see each other twice in the 70's. he must of felt something for me as he placed me on the quit claim deed. i'm upset and afraid his side is hiding things from me as they never even told me about my dads passing. it was a fluke that i even found out. i would of really liked to have had pictures he took of us together but don't know how to search for what he left in his will. any help will be appreciated.
The only person I believe who can let you know something about the Will, is your dad's attorney. But is it possible for you to contact him?

Hi Peejo,

You can use the newspapers to find out the attorney so that you are able to know what is written in the Will exactly. I understand this may not be easy but there's no other way out.

Thanks,
Jerry

If your dad has quitclaimed you a part of the interest in his home, then you must be having your name on the title and there is a possibility that he may have stated in the Will about any share of interest that you may inherit from the property.
