Adding a name to a deed as Power of Attorney

Posted on: 17th Jan, 2013 11:25 am
My Mom is 86 and her 2-family house located in Queens, in NYC, has her name on the deed as well as my Dad's name (who died in 1996). As my Mom's Power of Attorney, can I add my name to the deed?
Hi Chasandy,

As you have a power of attorney for your mother's property, you will be able to use it to add your name to the property deed.

Thanks

Hi Chasandy!

Welcome to forums!

You can get in touch with a real estate attorney and take his help in this regard. The attorney will help you in adding your name to the property deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
