if i add my girlfriend on title using a quit claim deed, do i have to specify how much ownership interest she will get and where?

You can definitely specify the amount of ownership interest you want to give your girlfriend in the property. However, I don't think it's mandatory. You may contact a real estate attorney and take his opinion in this regard.

You have to specify this things on quit claim deed while you transferring property.
