my father in law wants to add my husbands name to the properties he owns. He is and his wife are ill and do not want my husband to go through any hassels at their death. Is it wise to do this.
Hi mercedes!
Welcome to forums!
Yes, in my opinion it is a good idea to add your husband to the property deed. Your in-laws and husband can go for a joint tenancy with right to survivorship which will help your husband to inherit the property directly after their death without letting the property go into probate.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
