How do I add my daughter and son-in-law to part ownership of my home?

Posted on: 21st Apr, 2009 09:20 pm
I have a grant deed forma dn am not sure how to fill it out so that I am ADDING 2 family members, not giving up my part of the ownership.
The form states: My name herebby grants: do I put my name again as well as the family members' names? I am not giving then ownership, but just adding them onto the title/deed of my home.
Hi nanrizzo,

You are right. You will have to put your name twice on the deed i.e. you will be the grantor and at the same time, you will also be the grantee along with your daughter and son-in-law. Thus, you will transfer the property to yourself, your daughter and son-in-law and all three of you will be the owners of the property.
