How do I go about adding names to the tile of the house? Can I use the quitclaim form ?...Currently I am the only one on the title of the house. I want to add my parents names on it too. How do go about doing it? What form do I need to use? Can I use the quitclaim form for that purpose even though there's no transfer of names.
Hi Hannahlai,
In order to add your parent's name to the property deed, you can use a quitclaim deed. You can sign a quitclaim deed and give them ownership to the property. You can get sample quitclaim deed forms online but it is always better to take the help of an attorney. An attorney will help you to understand the legal terms and conditions of the deed.
Thanks

Hi Hannahlai,
A quitclaim deed is the easiest way to add name to the title of the property. Though there are no transfers, you can still use a quitclaim deed. Once you have filled the quitclaim deed, you need to notarize it and record it at the county recorder's office.
Thanks,
Jerry
