How does one add a spouse on the deed..as a joint..once adding a name is the other person responsible jointly for all lein, judgement, etc on house also..how do we do that..what form would we need..thanks
Hi charismastar!
Quitclaim deed is the best option to add a spouse to a deed. If you want the other person to be jointly responsible for all lien, judgment, etc on house also, then you will have to make that person a co-signer to your mortgage.
Thanks,
Jerry
