DEED AFTER DEATH

Posted on: 29th Sep, 2010 12:40 am
My grandmother passed away and everything was left to my grandfather. He passed a few short months after she passed. The house they lived in was in my grandmothers name only. It was never put into my grandfathers name. When he passed he left a will stating my brother, sister and I were to get everything from him. I am needed to know how to get the deed of house into my brother, sister and myself's name.
Hi thekillians,

The property is in your grandmother's name. In that case, I have my doubts as to how much your grandfather's will would be taken into consideration. In such a situation, you should contact your real estate attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

Take care.
