Ok I was looking up my mom's deed on her home, and this is what it said
From Assessment Roll. her last name and then first, then last name, Trust and then her address
And on the left side it said Most Recent Sale, it has my step father last name and first.
My question is it still my mom's house or is it now his? Can someone explain to me what this all means

Hi tlcinca,
As far as I know an assessment roll is a public record that shows the assessed value of a particular property within a tax jurisdiction. But it is not very clear from what you have mentioned who actually owns the house. I think you should get it reviewed by a real estate attorney to know what it exactly means.
