How do I assign a property that is a rental?

Posted on: 10th Jun, 2009 08:01 pm
I'm purchasing a property (which will be Assigned) that is a rental property of the home-owner. I'm using a standard contract for sale and purchase to buy it.

Do I need a separate contract to transfer the Landlording rights or should I make some sort of clause? Is there some sort of Assignment I can do?

Any help would be appreciated.
Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

I think you'll have to go for the rent to lease agreement. I hope you have an attorney who is helping you regarding the standard contract for sale and purchase. You should consult him and check out if the rent to lease agreement is required in your situation.
