My grandmother passed some years ago and my aunt who was her caretaker was willed the house and property. Now that she is older, I ask about her will and in the process of discussing it, she told me she had never put the house and property in her name. My question is, what will happen to them in the event of my aunt's death since they were never transferred to her
Hi woodhazl!

It will be better if your aunt can probate the will and get the property transferred in her name. Once she does so, then her heirs can easily claim the property after her death. If it is not done, then her heirs will face issues in getting the property transferred in their names.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
