i am a 100% ownership of 2 company. One is only holding property without doing any business. Now, I would like to run one company only. Can I use the quitclaim deed to transfer the property to the company which i would like to continue running business. If it can not, can I use quitclaim deed to transfer to title under my personal name first and then use another quitclaim deed to transfer the property to the company. If anyone knows about this please kindly help me
Hi jen,

I think you should first quitclaim the company to yourself and then quitclaim it to the other company. You can contact an attorney and he will draft a quitclaim deed for you to transfer the property. I don't think you can directly transfer the property to another company.

Thanks.

Use a Grant Deed to transfer from one company to another.
