I live in Oklahoma. I own my home. I am currentyly living with someone and we share all the bills. He gives me money and I pay bills out of my checking account. My quetion is, if we separate will the person Im living with have any rights to equity from my home? I also have a savings account and have bought items from the money from my account. The money in the account was mine before I met him. Will he be able to claim that money or property?
Is this your husband? Are they on the title/deed? If not then they should not have any rights to get money.

If the he is not on title and deed of the property and not listed on your bank account, he has no rights to either. He only gives you money towards the bills, but he really has no responsibilty to keep up with the mortgage and/or the maintenance of owning a home. I hope this helps...
