I have a question!

Posted on: 27th May, 2010 01:12 pm
I want to buy a home that the owner had previously tried to sell on an unrecorded land contract. The buyers have not made a payment in seven months and have disappeared. They vacated the property and took all their personal belongings with them. What can I do to make sure the previous buyers can't come back and claim ownership of the property?
Hi tim_gleckler!

Welcome to forums!

You should have a legal deed which will prove your ownership of the property. I would suggest you to contact an attorney and take his opinion in this matter. He will be able to guide you in a better way so that you can claim legal ownership of the property.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
