QUIT DEED

Posted on: 06th Apr, 2011 07:54 am
I was divorced 5 yrs. ago and my husband quit deeded our property to his brother. He was found in contempt of court and their names were to be taken off. This did not happen and my divorce attorney as done nothing to help me since then. I'm wondering if I have a right to 2/3's of the taxes for the last five yrs.? Thank you for your help!
Hi izardkl,

This is something that your CPA will be the best to answer. As far as I can understand, you will have the rights to 2/3's of the taxes for the last five years. Moreover, as they were in the contempt of court, you will have full rights to the property.

Thanks
