Posted on: 21st Aug, 2009 11:56 am
Hello, i am currently paying on a house and i have a cosigner who has given me hell about anything i do. She has never lived in the house nor has ever put a penny towards it. Now i am getting ready to get refinanced and she refuses to sign the papers. my question to you is how can i get her name off as quikly and easy as possible.
Thank You, eparker.

This is really difficult situation

But you have one tool, which cna hurt you also alogn with yoru co-signer

Tell her that you are goign to stop mkaing payments, which will affect not only her credit but your also.

May be that will make her think twice

Good luck and feel free to ask

well, since you are in the process of refinancing, you can coordinate that with a quit claim deed from your hell-raiser to you and eliminate her name forever. i trust that she won't be looking to be compensated for this.
