husband had to sign a quit claim deed in order for me to buy

martha, if she's an owner of the home, then she's entitled to a share of the proceeds. if she has no ownership interest, why is she bothering you?

perhaps by reading that to her, she'll understand that she has no financial interest in a property owned by her son and his wife, no matter what anyone else may have said.
