My father passed away owning 3 lots in ElPaso TX . He died intestate. I am his son and heir and would like to transfer the deeds into my name. I have/had power of attorney in the state of Arizona, where he resided. He has paid the taxes on these lots since 73 and they are only worth about $500 all together.
Hi phillipsks,
As there is no will, you will have to file an affidavit of heirship at the county recorder's office where the properties are located and get it transferred in your name.
Thanks
