i want to remove my brother&sister inlaw off my deed to my house they keep saying that they are coming to take the house away.the loan is in my name only and the deed of trust is only in my name
Hi bigmikenpatty,
Are your brother and sister in-laws listed on the property deed? If they are, then they have a legal ownership to the property. They can claim their share of the property. Your name could be the only one on the deed of trust or the mortgage. But this does not make them ineligible for their share of the property as long as they are on the title. You can remove them from the property deed only if they agree to sign over the ownership to you.

If you want to remove your sister from the property deed, then you'll have to ask her to sign a quit claim deed in your favor. Once she does so, you'll have to record the deed at the county recorder's office.
