I bought a house a yr ago with my now ex boyfriend. Both our names are on the deed and morage. I havent lived there in months and he is now not paying on it. Our house is in NJ I was wondering if someone can help me. I need help fast!!!
roxy it's not so simple as simply getting your name off a house. you need to work this out with your ex-boyfriend to settle the issue. sell the house by all means, but of course that means you two have to agree on it. since he isn't making payments, it would seem he's amenable to a sale anyway.

you have mentioned that your name is both on the deed and the mortgage. so if you remove your name from the deed, it won't help your cause. your name will remain on the mortgage and the lender will ask you to pay it off. you can sign a quitclaim deed in your ex-boyfriend's name and then ask him to refinance the property. only then you will be free from your obligations towards the property.
