Hi chanel,
If you are his heir, then you should contact the county recorder's office and file an affidavit of heirship in order to get the property transferred in your name. You can also contact an attorney who can help you further in this regard.
Thanks

What type of attorney do I need to conact. Estate or real estate attorney?
Hi chanel,
You will have to contact a real estate attorney and take his help in filing the affidavit of heirship.
