Not on Deed...

Will my husband own the house out right?
My husband is on the mortgage but not on the deed of our home.
We do not have a will, but we both have grown children from previous
marriages. If I die will he become sole owner of our home? We do not live in a community property state.
Hi Catalina,

If it is not a community property state and your husband is not on the deed, he cannot claim his interest in the property. If you add him to the title through a deed or leave a will in his name, he can claim his share in the property.
