What should be considered when transferring names to the deed of a parent who died intestate? My sister and I are the survivors. I am the administrator, living in the house. I've been told the next step is to file my mother's taxes.
HI ,
Welcome to our forum.
If you wish to transfer property to anothers name or if you want to remove someones name from deed then you can use quite claim deed. Draft it by your attorney & notrize it in country records.
Thanks & Regards.

Hi photo,
If you are the sole owner of the property after your mother's death, then you would be responsible to pay the property taxes. If your sister has equal share in the property, then she can share the property taxes along with you.
