We are three joint tenants on a property with rights of survivorship. One of the owners will sell their share to me. How will be the deed written so that things are secured?
You can contact an attorney and he will draft the deed as per the situation.
You can contact the attorney to know about the legal nitty-gritty..
If any one joint tenant transfers their property interest, the joint tenancy is destroyed and replaced by a tenancy-in-common. To preserve the joint tenancy with right of survivorship, the deed should be written so that Tenants A, B, and C transfer to Tenants B and C as joint tenants with right of survivorship. Contact a local real estate attorney if you have any questions.
