A succession was done on the house and I want to give my portion of ownership to my son. Can this be achieved by simply writing a letter and going to a notary public?
hi deanneworleans,
you need to sign a quit claim deed in order to transfer your share of the property to your son. once you sign the quit claim deed, you need to get it notarized and get the deed form recorded at the county recorder's office.
thanks
