family camp sale

Posted on: 11th Dec, 2008 06:46 am
I live in NY state and in the 70's my grandfather bought a camp for my family. There was 10 people on the deed at first. Since then 5 people have passed on . In 1991 my mom passed away and my grandfather died 12 hours later. With that said here is my problem... My aunt and uncle quit claim deeded their share of this camp to me in 1993. The deed says any and all interest she and her husband have in the property is transferred to me. When she did this would it include her interest in the camp from my grandfather's estate also?
Seems like you answered your own question. If she transfers all her property, and her grandfather's interest is her property, then she transfers it.

Hi szq!

Welcome to forums!

As the deed says that she has quitclaimed any and all interest that she and her husband had in the property to you, that means she has also quitclaimed her interest in the camp from your grandfather's estate as well. This means that she does not have any interest left in the property.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.
