MY HUSBAND IS ONE OF FOUR OWNERS OF A UNDIVIDED FARM WITH A TENANT FARMER. IS IT RECOMMENDED THAT THE FARM BE DIVIDED EVEN THOUGH SELLING IS NOT CONSIDERED AT THIS TIME?
Welcome MAX,
If the property is free and clear of any liens, then the owners of the property can divide it amongst themselves. However, they would become responsible for the maintenance and property taxes of their individual lots.
