Hi shortstuff!
Welcome to Forums!
Yes, if your name is not on the mortgage but on the deed of the property, you will still have rights to the property. You can check the property deed to find if your name is on it or not. You must be having a copy of the deed. Or else you can visit the county recorder's office and request him/her to give a copy of the deed to you.
Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi shortstuff!
If your name is on the title of the property, then you will have ownership rights to the property. You can go to the county recorder's office to find if your name is on the title of the property or not.
Thanks,
Jerry

Another way to verify ownership is to check the county property tax information which lists the property owners. Most are on the internet.
