Hi tracy,

You should contact a real estate attorney and he will help you in taking the right steps in this matter.

Thanks

You may also want to file a complaint against your brother (as a notary). In Florida the governor's office controls the notaries. Depending on how far you want to go to protect your interest you may also want to file a criminal complaint of forgery/fraud with the local law enforcement agency in Florida. Did the lawyer file the affidavit with he clerk of court where the property is located? If so this will aid in stopping the transfer of title to the house if someone tries to sell it (or get a loan on it). I'm kind of confused. Did the quirt claim deed your brother notarized list you as the grantor giving your interest to someone else? Also in Florida I believe notaries can not notarize documents for their immediate family members?
