my husband and i are purchasing a house through owner financing. the lady who owns the home and us were wondering, how do we get added to the deed?
Hi sscalia,
If you want your name to be added on the property deed, then you'll have to ask the seller to sign a quit claim deed. You can contact a lawyer who will help you in drafting the deed. Once your name is added to the deed, you will have to record it at the county recorder's office and make the deed valid.

Hi Bobbytood!
Welcome to forums!
You can ask your girlfriend to add your name to the property deed. This will make you one of the owners of the property. In case of a breakup, you can claim your share of the property from your girlfriend and recover the money that you paid for home improvements.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
