My mother is now the owner of her home my dad and her bought. It is paid off for many years now. In order to get help for her with medicaid she must live in the home, but we have her living in an all elderly apt because the house is in terrible shape and she now lives down the street from me. There is six children, but my Mom wants to put it in one name to give it to her. How would we go about this and what paperwork what be needed to be done?
Hi texmex!

Welcome to forums!

You mother can fill out a ladybird deed in order to transfer her property to one of her children. Your mother's name will be mentioned as the grantor of the property whereas the child's name should be mentioned as the grantee of the property. She can even contact an attorney and take his help in filling out the deed.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
