My grandfather deeded his property to me because he wanted me to have it after he passed. Grandfather is now very ill and on hospice. His side of the family is looking to see what they can get. My grandfather is old school latino and refused to do a will or trust. Does my grant deed stand or can his sister and brother fight me. I have very little and have cared for hin for the last two years. His siblings are very wealthy and can afford all the lawyers that they want.
Welcome SusieQuatro,
As the grandfather has already signed and transferred the property to you with the help of a grant deed, you will be considered as the owner of the property. No one else can claim the property back from you.
