she does not want any interest in house.she is willing to give up all interest in house to me.if we do get back together and something were to happen to me after she signs a deed who would get the house.please give me my best options
welcome to the forum tllbatman,

your best option will be to refinance the house in only your name once the divorce is finalized. if you do this than she will no longer be responsable for anything that has to do with the house in the future.

if you just state in your divorce decree that you will maintain possesion of the house and make the mortgage payments and something were to happen to you, then she may end up responsable for the house.

i hope that answers your question.
good luck

Hi tllbatman!

Refinancing is considered to be the best option in divorce and this process is preferred by the lenders as well. Once you refinance the property and remove your wife from the title, she will not be responsible for the house anymore. If you want her to get the property in case you two get back together and something happens to you, you should mention that accordingly in the divorce decree.
